1. Cafeterias and Patios

Hlavna Street is the place to be in the summer when it is full of cafeterias and patios. You can sit in these summer gardens and people-watch, admire the historical buildings or just enjoy a coffee or a summer cocktail. Just imagine - late evening, cold beer, you and your friends, live music, beautiful girls and all of this in the center of a city old nearly thousand years...
2. Hockey match

Kosice city hosts WC in Ice Hockey 2011. In addition to that, HC Kosice is a team that won Slovakian play-off 3 times in a row(2011, 2010, 2009). The biggest rival of Kosice is Slovan Bratislava. Matches against these two professional teams are a must-see experience. Arena is for a bit more then 8000 fans and it is usually full. 3. Hlavna Street

4. Jakab's Palace

One of the most beautiful buildings in Kosice, located just a minute from St. Elisabeth Cathedral or from Train station, on Mlynska Street. Newly reconstructed aftery many ownership disputes it is finally owned by the city and available for tourists to visit. Jakab's Palace was a seat for various institutions and even a temporary seat for Czechoslovakian President Eduard Benes in 1945.

St. Elisabeth Cathedral is a typical monument of Kosice. The easternmost Gothic Cathedral is full of history, stands right in the center of the city center is even recognized y UNESCO as a heritage and is a seat for various Church-related intitutions. But not as many people know that during the day you can walk upstairs and have an amazing view. BTW: No elevator, just steps :-) Right next to St. Elisabeth's Cathedral is also Urban's Tower with a Wax Museum inside.
6. Kosice's Gold Treasure

Is probably the most valuable exhibition in Museum of Eastern Slovakia(Vychodoslovenske Muzeum). Nearly 3000 golden coins from 15th to 17th, Renaissance golden chain 214cm long and other articles.
7. ZOO and Summer Tobbogan
Take public bus 29 and enjoy one of the largest ZOOs in the region. During summer days you can even see specific shows and feed the animals. New animals and specific exhibitions are regularly introduced. Kosice's ZOO owns an enormous property and still has a lot of plans to improve. Next to ZOO you can try bob-sledge Tobbogan. This is very popular attractions and if it's hard to get young people from there.
8. Night Life

Many clubs, discos and bars are located in the city center. The most popular ones are Ibiza Disco club, Retro Cult Club, Jazz Club, Irish Club and many more. Kosice has 3 local universities and several faculties of other ones, that means a lot of young students in the city. Therefor Kosice has rich nighlife. If you enjoy going out Kosice definitely has something to offer.
9. Philharmony

10. Nature

Natural Parks and Mountains are located only minutes or hours by road from Kosice. If you want to see some unspoiled nature, find your way to Slovak Paradise(Slovensky Raj) or to Tatry Mountains. Tatras are the biggest mountains in Slovakia and it takes only an hour by train to Poprad Station from where you can train to Stary Smokovec, Strbske Pleso or Tatranska Lomnica. It's really close and really beautiful.
